Applications
November 1st– November 15th, 2023
Application form will be available at CoinsForKids.net from November 1st – November 15th.
To participate in KONY COINS FOR KIDS program, all parents/guardians seeking assistance must fill out this online application between November 1st and November 15th, 2023. Failure to apply will result in not being qualified for assistance this year.
If you have received assistance from KONY Coins for Kids three or more times in the last 10 years, you will not be eligible for assistance this year. If you do not qualify for Coins for Kids, and you need assistance, we recommend you register on-line with Toys for Tots. Applications will be pre-screened and families that are not eligible will be notified.
Once your application has been approved for processing, we will contact the families to review the required documents:
- Photo ID
- Birth Certificates of the children
- Recommendation letter
- Proof of residence in the county will be required as well
If you are not notified that you are ineligible, then you are required to come to the Washington County School District building to have your documentation verified. We are verifying documentation for all applicants on one of the following days:
- Monday, November 13, 2023 9am-7pm
- Wednesday, November 15, 2023 9am-7pm
- Friday, November 17, 2023 9am-4pm
Failure to bring your documentation for review will disqualify you from receiving assistance from Coins for Kids this year.
The following documentation is required:
1. A written and signed referral letter from the school counselors where the children attend, your clergy leader, or from any of the participating social service agencies. For a full list of qualifying organizations, please
visit our website at www.coinsforkids.net.
2. Photo ID and proof of residency in Washington County. If the ID does not show your current address, you will need to show proof of residency such as a Utility Bill, Insurance Bill, or Bank Statement.
3. Children’s Birth Certificates of each child showing linkage to parents. Or court documents if child is in the custody of someone other than a parent.
Upon Approval, applicants will receive additional instructions regarding adoption and shopping.

Volunteer Opportunities
DONATIONS
Donations can be made through our website www.coinsforkids.net website by credit card, PAYPAL, Amazon, Venmo @CoinsForKids or dropped off at the Canyon Media Studios at 3143 South 840 East, St. George (across the street from Bloomington Hills Elementary) New unwrapped toys ($15 minimum) can be dropped off at many of the elementary schools or any of the Marines’ TOYS FOR TOTS toy collection containers.

SHOPPING: December 18th
Monday, Dec 18th, 2023, 5 pm till finish at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Washington. We’ll need hundreds of shoppers (young kids can help mom and dads) Just show up and you’ll get a clipboard and a family to shop for. There is no need to register to participate. Please plan to shop for several families. Be sure to bring a jacket as you may have to line up outside the store as we usually have dozens of shoppers waiting in line before we officially start.
WRAPPING: December 19th
Tuesday, December 19th , 2023, from 8 am till we finish, at the Dixie Center (on
Convention Center Drive) We could use help! ALL WRAPPERS are being asked to
bring a roll or two of wrapping paper if they have it (not required) Scissors (unless they want to bring their own) and tape will be provided! Plus, we can always use donations of scotch tape, scissors, clipboards, name tags, ribbons, etc. Just show up to wrap! There is no need to sign up or register before hand to wrap!
DELIVERY: December 20th
Wednesday, December 20th, 4-9 pm at the Dixie Center. Santas and Santas’ helpers
are always needed. Santas need their own suit, so if you have one, great! We also
have some suits available. Santa suits will be sold at a greatly reduced price! We could always use additional helpers with vans or pickups! To participate as a Santa, you need to register with Fred Tucker, 435-773-8328. Or send us a note through our website, www.coinsforkids.net

Facts
In 2022 we registered 1,632 children in 544 families. Some of these children were then adopted by other organizations and families (our largest adoption number ever!!)
KONY Coins for Kids assistance is for children 2-17 years of age. 18 year old children residing in the same home may apply if they are still attending high school.
Infants under 2 year old may apply IF there are other children in the family between 2-17 years of age.
In other words, an application with only ONE child that is under 2 years of age will be denied and referred to Toys for Tots.
Applications are then given to various charities that desire to provide Christmas gifts for children. Canyon Media will have the database for the names.
Only one application per family will be accepted. Intentional duplicate applications and/or intent to defraud the charity will cause elimination from the program.
Gifts for the kids vary depending on the program assigned the names. Due to the large number of applicants, we cannot provide computers, stereos, X-boxes, tablets and Ipads, and other expensive requests. Gifts can be exchanged after Christmas for size, color, etc, but may NOT be redeemed for cash.
Deliveries of the gifts by Santa will be made ONLY TO THE HOME WHERE THE CHILDREN RESIDE, between 4-9 pm on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023.
The program is dependent solely upon charitable contributions; all contributions are tax deductible. Contributions can be made at or families adopted at Canyon Media offices.
