Babycenter.com has released its list of the top 100 boy’s and girl’s baby names in 2013, and topping the list are Jackson and Sophia as the name that was chosen most by new parents over the last calendar year.
The data comes from a survey of more than 500,000 parents who registered and shared their baby’s name on the site.
2013 marks the third consecutive year that Sophia topped the charges for little girls, while Jackson made a major jump to #1 from #22 last year.
Babycenter.com says that Emma, Olivia, Isabella and Mia round out the top five for newborn girls. For boys, Aiden, Liam, Lucas and Noah rank 2-5.
When is Lamar gonna be a popular name for boys? Guess not ever. Although my oldest daughter did name her last child after me….Ethan Lamar. And he’s a good-looking kid too……just like his grandpa! And humble too! I am always amazed at the creativity of the names here in Southern Utah. And the unique spellings of those names. Some of my grand kids have some unique names as well. Here are the 13 grand kids: Dallyn , Alena, Corbin, Isaiah, Dean, Layla, Presli, Madden, Adrianna, Joseph, Kaiya, Knox, and Ethan. What are some unique names you’ve come across?
